A fantasy conversation game with a Miyazaki-like setting, April 18, 2023In this game, every 'room' is a conversation with a new individual. Topics that you can discuss are highlighted in brackets or by other means depending on the interpreter. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Remove vote | Add a comment

A small jewel, February 21, 2022by f-a A small jewel of a game, unravelling a compelling story with just one simple game mechanic. The characters are interesting, the puzzles balanced — and there is an in-game hint system in any case —, writing is good without being flowery. Was this review helpful to you? A different kind of flavour for a game., February 20, 2022by Jade68 We are in front of a different flavour for a game. I mean this is a choice options game where the token words are in the descriptions and answers. Note: this rating is not included in the game's average. Was this review helpful to you? One of the best I have played in a while!, April 26, 2020by JonQ What can I say that hasn't already been so well expressed in other reviews? I'll just say 'Weird City Interloper' is very well written! Innovative and imaginative. Challenging, but not frustrating. Good level of help balanced with mystery. Great voicing for the different characters. The way the world unfolds through conversations is brilliant. Great job at pacing, keeps you hooked. Was this review helpful to you? Barnacle Gatekeepers, Need I Say More?, January 21, 2016by revereche No question, this is absolutely my favorite IF of all time. Between the fantastically written characters, incredibly creative setting, and innovative navigation interface, I can hardly choose a favorite aspect! In a medium that typically shirks character interaction to hide its weaknesses, a work of IF that boldly embraces is highly welcome. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Remove vote | Add a comment

Conversation-based exploration, December 19, 2015by verityvirtue (London) Weird City Interloper is a short conversation-based romp through a fantastical city in the vein of Porpentine’s works - peopled with fascinating and fantastical characters. Very Conversation Orientated , January 4, 2015by Chai Hai (Kansas City KS) This was a fun infomation game. In this game you can't do anything but talk to people. No items whatsoever. I liked it, it was a nice game, relying on conversations to advance the plot. A nice twist. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Remove vote | Add a comment
