Interpret "under-rated" however that means to you. Perhaps it's one that's simply not played very much for whatever reason. Or it's a game you consider flawed but still worth playing, or an early effort that you are fond of.

Nemesis Macana, by Herman Schudspeer, Victor Gijsbers 1 vote "I'm proud of..." [+]"I'm proud of the language, the essay, the idea... it may be a small game, but I love it. Releasing it under a pseudonym outside of any competition didn't do much for its popularity, however." --Victor Gijsbers... Vote for this game
Dr. Sourpuss Is Not A Choice-Based Game, by P.B. Parjeter 1 vote "I stand by the point of the game--making choices that are only about what you hear, not what happens; BUT..." [+]"I stand by the point of the game--making choices that are only about what you hear, not what happens; BUT...: critics were right that I made the mistake of using lots of repetitious links, which were annoying & overshadowed that those links could often be ignored" --P. A Roiling Original, by Andrew Schultz 1 vote "Release 4 will be even more underrated!" [+]"Release 4 will be even more underrated!: The first few releases had wobbly puzzles, but I'm proud of the work I put in to fix them and the bug, along with the silly niche jokes I sprinkled all over. I think I've made a cohesive storyline. And, well, I think it's pretty cool to appreciate as a concept even if you don't have time to play it." --Andrew Schultz... Vote for this game

It, by Emily Boegheim 1 vote "I think a lot of..." [+]"I think a lot of people didn't realise how much It branches (partly because of my design mistakes, I admit) and found it shallower than it really is. I was always unnecessarily coy about how many endings there are, but there are 25 or 30, including the dead ends." --Emily Boegheim... Vote for this game
Portcullis, by Robin Johnson 1 vote "Released in a New..." [+]"Released in a New Years minicomp. It's styled as a retro castle-crawler, but it has some plot twists, multiple solutions to most puzzles, and three different endings." --Robin Johnson... Vote for this game
