About the Story

An envoy of the Dcasicil braves E'marka's mountain domain. A short interactive episode.

Author's comment: Dragon's Pass is one of several demonstration projects I wrote for a never-completed CYOA Framework extension for Inform 7. I previously released one of these demos, Captain Piedaterre's Blunders, as a standalone game. Looking at my files, it appears I last edited Dragon's Pass in 2016. It's VERY short, a few minutes long, December 16, 2021

A handful of rooms, with a handful of choices. All of the choice questions have right answers, and most of the wrong answers will block your progress or kill you instantly.

It's hard to get a sense of what the rest of the story will be like from this.

Strong tech and writing demo, January 3, 2022
by Matt Wigdahl (Olathe, KS)

This bite-sized game is a very nice tech demo and a brief sample illustrating the high quality of Wade's writing. For more of an introduction to Wade's interactive fiction craft, it would be better to check out the award-winning Six or his less kid-oriented Leadlight Gamma.
