Author's comment: Dragon's Pass is one of several demonstration projects I wrote for a never-completed CYOA Framework extension for Inform 7. I previously released one of these demos, Captain Piedaterre's Blunders, as a standalone game. Looking at my files, it appears I last edited Dragon's Pass in 2016. The cover art is an adaptation of an Unsplash photo by Nitty Ditty.
A handful of rooms, with a handful of choices. All of the choice questions have right answers, and most of the wrong answers will block your progress or kill you instantly.
It's hard to get a sense of what the rest of the story will be like from this.
This bite-sized game is a very nice tech demo and a brief sample illustrating the high quality of Wade's writing. For more of an introduction to Wade's interactive fiction craft, it would be better to check out the award-winning Six or his less kid-oriented Leadlight Gamma.
