The Short Games Showcase 2025 has begun!January 1, 2026

The submission deadline has passed for the SGS 2025, and voting on Itch.io is now open! (We'll work to get the voting form for additional categories up and running shortly.) Check out this year's crop of games here!

Short Games Showcase 2025 open for submissions!December 2, 2025

The IF Short Games Showcase 2025 is currently open for submissions! You can submit up to two short games, previously released or not, as long as they were made in 2025.

Games in the SGS compete for an overall best-in-show award as well as awards for Best Use of Short Form, Best Use of Interactivity, Best Story-Focused Game, Best Puzzle-Focused Game, Most Replay Value, and Best Previously Unawarded Game.

Submissions will be open through December 31.
