About the Story

My first night in Japan, struggling to sleep for the jet lag, I started writing this micro interactive fiction. I was impressed by the smallness of the room, and I started wondering how big it could be if I were a fly.

To play this interactive fiction you type commands after the prompt ">" and press "enter" to confirm. You can move to the four cardinal directions (north, south, east, and west), up and down, or in and out, typing one of them. You can also examine things described in text, typing examine and the thing you want to examine (e.g. "examine window"). The status bar on top shows your position to the left, to the right it shows the directions you can go from there. That’s all you need to play this game.

Thirst for blood has two different possible endings.
