I came into IF a roundabout way by first discovering (and then creating) games for the quasi-IF WorldBuilder system, and then when I received Lost Treasures of Infocom as a present. I've been playing off and on with Inform 6 since 1997 or so.
I knew Star Foster before she created Slouching Towards Bedlam and before she passed away, she encouraged me to continue writing IF, so I've been exploring some of the nooks and crannies of Inform 7.
I'm a poor puzzle solver and an even poorer puzzle-creator, but my sweetheart is better at that and she keeps prodding me to finish the game, so with some luck, maybe I'll have a game to post before Inform 8 is published.
