Hungarian IF adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien's classical novel. However, the plot rather follows the former, well-known 8-bit Melbourne House adventure game version from the '80s instead of the book. Nevertheless it is a much more modern and complete adaptation: you may control all the fourteen major heroes simultaneously (displaying any of them in up to four independent windows) and in realtime. Besides, there is a high amount of intelligent NPC activity: the computer automatically plays by all the other protagonists instead of you that you actually don't; also plays your further friends and enemies (you can still interact to them by talking; you can - or they also can - use the magic ring to hide). The most of the long and detailed descriptions of rooms and events were partly drawn from an excellent literal translation of the original book. The parser and the inner world-modelling engine was the most advanced one among all the Hungarian games indeed.
MS-DOS executable (also can be run natively under Windows in most cases; but not always). Most recommended to be run in DOS Box.
