A miniature with potential., September 16, 2026

Napanee 1961 lets you play a reporter in a small town in Ohio in 1961. You're going to inquire the case of a missing girl. Over time it becomes clear that she didn't simply run away.

Worth mentioning: You'll not be solving any classic puzzles. All puzzles are conversation-based. That also means you won't encounter dead ends as there's no puzzles that block you from progress.

Pro:
The setting is pleasant - a small town in rural Ohio. Lots of characters.
The story that slowly unfolds is actually pretty interesting.

Con:
The game is massively underimplemented. Basically the walkthrough is implemented, and nothing else. No items, no topics that aren't necessary are implemented.

Verdict:
With quite some diligence from the author this game could be turned into a little gem. The way it is now it's just a snack that lets you long for more. Playtime right now maybe 30 minutes.
