Smoochie Jam 2026

The Smoochie Jam is a month-long unranked jam for interactive fiction about kisses, love, and romance.

Games should be about romance, kissing, or the deliberate subversion thereof.

This year, we're also switching things up, by adding the Rashomon Rule!
This optional rule asks to have at least 2 perspectives of the same event in your game. For example, if two characters are on a date, you could show the POV of the two people dating, or of any people around them!

This jam exists in a deep and profoundly charged intimate rivalry with the Anti-Romance Jam. The name and concept of this jam were inspired by the original SmoochieComp in 2001, hosted by Emily Short.
