We all know the tale. A fast, cocky Hare and a slow, meek Tortoise have a race, which it seems like the Hare should neg diff. Right before the end, the Hare decides to have a nap just to prove that losing is impossible, and soon learns that he just did the impossible, because the Tortoise won the race in the meantime.
This time, though, the Hare inexplicably finds himself back to the start to try again, over and over. With each race being slower and more agonizing than the last, the Hare finds himself making more mistakes, and his losses to the Tortoise seem to escape his control (and yours).
This is a tiny (about 10-15 minutes) interactive fiction game following a linear story. The only way to progress that story is, naturally, to move the Hare across the racetrack. It might not be as painless as it sounds.
