The Library of Unsent Letters

About the Story

You find the door quite by accident. Inside is a quiet Library where every unsent message waits: confessions, apologies, half-finished goodbyes, things almost said and never sent. Tonight, the Library asks whether you'd be willing to help decide the fate of some of them.

Read twelve letters. For each one, choose whether to deliver it as written, rewrite it, or leave it safely on the shelf. The Library doesn't judge you. It notices the patterns in the care you offer, and at the end it writes a letter of its own, just for you.

A gentle, reflective, choice-based story about vulnerability, truth-telling, boundaries, and kindness. No puzzles, no failure states. Queer romantic undertones, cozy melancholy, hopeful endings. About 10 to 20 minutes.

Built in Twine (SugarCube) with an original theme song by Soft Lanterns (also me). Plays in the browser on phone, tablet, or desktop, with keyboard and screen reader support, adjustable text size, and a reduced motion option.
