Your adventure begins at midnight in the center of a medieval castle. You have no possessions and you know nothing about the castle itself. The goal of this game is to escape from the castle. But beware! The Enchanted Castle is full of traps and dangers! Escape will require observation, persistence, and wits.
Although your primary task is to escape, to complete the game you must accomplish three other goals as well: you must bring out the priceless Star Diamond, you must find a handsome prince / lovely princess and bring him/her to safety, and you must destroy the castle as you escape.
Dense in descriptions but sparse in the sort of detail that you can actually interact with, this game sports prose of the deepest purple seen on any screen. You find yourself in a strange castle, and must escape. There are three secondary goals: find a gem, rescue a princess, and destroy the castle as you leave. The parser is dumb and the save game feature is a magic spell that you have to find in the course of the game. Play it if you like reading descriptions of furniture.

With plenty of intriguing, but not mind-numbingly difficult problems to solve, marvellous room descriptions and fantastic atmosphere, this is truly a game in which to lose yourself for a few days/weeks....months?? So if you are an avid text adventure fan (and even if you're not), go on, try this one.
