About the Story

A simple but somewhat addictive cave crawl--You find yourself at the center of a dark labyrinth and must find a way out using all of your senses, including hearing (the intensity of the sounds gives some indication of the number of creatures in the immediately surrounding locations). The different weapons you can find along the way have different strengths against the different creatures that populate the cave (for instance, you can see a Cave Bear in the cover image above). Originally an all text type-in game from one of the many Color Computer magazines, CAVE3D has had simple graphics and the use of sound added (by the second author) to aid you in your quest.
