Stupid To Be Always Serene is a semi-autobiographical piece of interactive fiction made for those who are glad to have survived adolescence. If you know how it feels to be trapped in a dysfunctional family living in a small town, to be chronically misunderstood, or to not have a stable sense of self, you might enjoy it.
The main character is neutrally referred to as they and has an ex-lover who is a man.
Make sure to visit the trigger warnings page on the title screen; it has both a summarized and a more transparent list of touchy subjects brought up.
Please report any typos, grammar, or punctuation mistakes. I would like to believe my English is fluent, but who wouldn't?
Thoughts, go your way home.
Embrace,
depths of the soul and the sea.
In my view,
it is
stupid
to be
always serene.
—Vladimir Mayakovsky, 1925
