The Forgotten Nightmare 2
by Chris Radford profile
"The Forgotten Nightmare II: A New Reality" is the second chapter of a parser-driven, all-text interactive fiction series. Going against the grain of modern game evolution, the only graphics are an auto-drawing map; the rest is painted by your imagination. It is a playable story, not a multiple-choice game — it accepts full typed commands, with seemingly endless and often comical responses. Built with a custom engine in the tradition of the early Scott Adams text adventures.
In the first chapter, an accident left you with no memory of world events or your own life. With your memory now returned, you find yourself a passenger heading to an unknown destination, with Jack and Robert as your new companions. Since the great disappearance over three years ago, no city, town, or village has escaped the fallout — and your escape is hindered by an unexpected turn of events.
As a continuation of the story, it is best played after the first chapter, The Forgotten Nightmare.
