Out of Luck

I just spent a very entertaining few days reading through the Iron CHiF episode 3 thread in the IF forums. The concepts really intrigued me and I had some time on my hands, so I decided to actually play the games this time. Holy cow I can't believe Out of Luck was the loser of that episode! I found the puzzles charming and that the central game mechanic was really well incorporated into the story. I loved the writing for all the interactions with NPCs and the music really elevated the entire experience.

I was reading through the audience and judge reviews, and the only negative that I agree with for Out of Luck is that the exits were not well defined. There were points where I was just guessing which directions I could go in, but this did not hinder my enjoyment. I love this little game. The dice mechanic is so novel, it makes me wonder if it could be implemented and still be fun in a larger game.
