About the Story

One night you are awakened from a deep sleep by a low humming noise. Before you can move you are engulfed in a ball of pale, blue light and lose consciousness.

You slowly open your eyes. You are strapped loosely into an acceleration hammock which is swaying gently. A young Terran Marine drifts up to you and salutes smartly. He informs you that the Captain, Lieutenant Commander Antare, requests your presence immediately.

On your way to the bridge you learn that you are on the Terran Federation ship Valley Forge, a Chicago-class frigate, which has been stripped down for speed and crammed to the bulkheads with anti-detection gear.

As you enter the bridge the Captain greets you with a smile and gestures for you to sit at the astro-navigator's position which is empty. He says:

"Greetings! You have again been chosen to perform great deeds here in the 35th century. According to our intelligence reports, the billiant Krell scientist, Mordir Kang, has developed a doomsday device called the Zontar Ray Machine. Your mission is to locate the base, kill Kang, steal the device plans, and destroy the machine."

This adventure is part of the Eamon universe. Like all Eamon adventures, it is an RPG-style game, mostly using a two-word parser. Because Eamon is a modular system, you may bring a character and equipment from other adventures into this one.

Overall, this is tough adventure. Not so much tough in problem solving as tough in surviving.
