Review

It makes monsters of us all, January 31, 2026

The year is 1976. You are waiting for a train when a businessman decides that he wants to eat your cookie. In fact, he wants to eat all your cookies. Also, this is a true story.

Pick Up the Cookie and Sign is based on a short story by Douglas Adams. I admit that I have not read the short story, but I am familiar enough with Douglas Adams to feel comfortable saying that the game does capture his trademark sense of humor.

The gameplay is small in scope. There is one location and the amount of interactive items is very limited. However, the game’s focus is on comedy, not puzzles.

When all is said and done, I am not entirely sure that I get the joke. However, I appreciate the joke enough to recommend the game.
