About the Story

You are a little-respected IT manager at the Ven-Tec Corporate Offices. You have known for some time about the embezzling, fraud, and multitude of other illegal activities your company has engaged in. You have to find the evidence to incriminate the organization and bring them down.

Last Night in the Office is an Adventuron game designed for the ZX Spectrum +3, for the Next Adventure Jam. Work your way through the office of the Ven-Tec Corporation in stunning 16 color graphics and two word text parser!

You can play this game in the browser, or download the zip file and use a ZX Spectrum +3 Emulator for an even more authentic experience!

Quick Start Help:

Adventuron uses a two word text parser. Try the following commands in your starting office:

EXAMINE DESK
ACCESS PC
TAKE DESK
Note: As with many adventure games, the verb USE is not needed for this game. Use a more precise verb if trying to use an item.

Short and fun with some verb guessing, July 22, 2020

You are the IT manager of Ven-Tec and you have uncovered hints of criminal activity within your company. You only have this night to uncover the evidence. This is a small but fun Adventuron jam game with a few guess-the-verb problems. Location descriptions are pretty short but some decent location graphics add to the atmosphere. It is pretty standard parser puzzles, though for a single puzzle I needed to google something before I could guess the needed verbs.

A few other places a little verb guessing were needed too, but if you are experienced in parser games it isn't a big problem. It does have a tutorial mode for the first few steps of the game, so the beginning is fine for new players. However, they will most likely have problems guessing the right verbs later on.

Still, it was fun.
