About the Story

You have been turned into a spider. Find out what has happened - and survive!

"Acht" is a text-based exploration game set in the 1980s. It is a home-crawler adventure where you control a little spider.

The game can be played in English or German. The language can be switched in the index.html

While this game is text-based, it has background music to support the atmosphere and make it more immersive. It is recommended to play the game with sound enabled.

Good 8-legged survival horror, April 12, 2020
by f-a

The premise of this game is simple: you wake up as a spider, you need to meet eight of your species to turn back to human.
The delivery is poignant. Life, especially as an insect, is cruel and there many ways in which our protagonist can find a premature end.
The only minor drawbacks I found are about navigating the rooms (it can be a bit difficult to render a mental map -- as with every IF, especially Twine).

The horror works well and is apt to your spider form. Recommended game!
