Ah The Simpsons, June 29, 2025

This is a small "my apartment"-style game, except the apartment is set in the Simpsons house. It's foreshadowed by the cover art and the opening title of the game, but it was cool to see the layout and have it be confirmed that the game was indeed what I expected. This is a puzzle chain where you play as Bart and need to find the remote control, and its batteries, to be able to watch your show after getting home from school.

The main game works fine, and I like the extra flavor with the items hidden around the house (such as Bart's drawers having a spray can and Lisa's having a math book). I feel like there could have been more sneaked in, though. For example, there's a telephone in the TV room that I didn't seem to be able to use; no prank calling Moe? You can try to drink beer, which gets you grounded with 0 points, which I found pretty funny.

You start with a score of 60 and lose a point for every minute of the show that passes before you turn on the TV. It's a good concept, but I was able to get the full 60 points when the clock was running low, so it seems bugged. Overall, a decent game, and a promising first attempt.
