Sitting in your office on a lovely sunny summer's day, your reverie is broken by the shrill ring of the telephone. You rise to your feet and cross the office to the large mahogany desk where the phone sits and reaching down, pick up the receiver with your left hand. "Inspector Vance here." you say and a man's voice, shaking with emotion, cries out from the other end of the phone-line. "Murder, it's murder", he said.
After calming him down you discover that a young man, by the name of Philip Stowe, has been found dead, apparently murdered. This has taken place at DUNDEE MANOR some time early this morning. Seemingly family and friends were gathered there to celebrate the engagement of Philip to Emily Dundee.
You call in the desk-sergeant and tell him to make a casebook up, with files on ALL the people present in the DUNDEE MANOR at the time of the alleged murder. You then phone the local medical examiner and ask him to attend the scene of the crime and to finish his preliminary examination before you arrive ... if at all possible. Gathering together the usual 'tools of the trade', you make your way to the street and prepare to head for the manor house.
SynTax
You wander around the manor, searching and examining everything and picking up a few clues on the way. There are quite a few empty rooms with nothing to do in them, and the people there aren't very helpful. In fact, none of them seem pleased to see you. The atmosphere of the game builds nicely, leading you along so you think you know 'who done it' then some new piece of evidence turns up to change your course of thinking again.
