About the Story

Awakening in a stark, featureless room suspended in a void outside time and space, you find yourself alone with a sentient computer. To escape, you must play its game. Success means freedom; failure means your soul is lost forever to the void. Can you outsmart the machine and reclaim your freedom? Or will you remain trapped for eternity?

Computer game quick rules:
2 cards from a playing deck are drawn face up. You roll 2 dice and you try to roll between the two card ranks to continue. For example if you draw a 3 and a 7, the sum of the two dice you roll must be between 3-7. If you roll doubles (e.g. 5 and 5) it counts as a winning roll no matter the sum. The objective of the game is to gather all 4 Aces of the deck. If the 2 cards you draw contains an Ace and you roll successfully you get to keep it.You have 5 hp and every time a roll is not a success you lose one.You have 3 swaps meaning you can redraw the cards on the screens 3 times. Each time you get an Ace you also get another swap---
Hi there! This shorthorror  game  is the first time I am working on a 3D project. I wanted to check out Godot's 3D system for a while now, especially interactions with computer screens which I always found very cool. This was the perfect opportunity for this.
I hope you like it!

Your fate lies in a game of chance, May 27, 2024

Room 2039 is a horror short game where you are stuck inside a locked room, with only a monitor to interact with. With no other way out, you need to follow the screen’s instructions for a chance to escape. But if you fail, you will spend the eternity in the void. Essentially, you need to play a game of chance for your life.

The game itself is essentially one of chance, with die to roll. Winning rolls bring your closer to freedom, while losing ones to the void. There is a bit of strategy to it, as the game includes some limitations, but you still need to be lucky with your die.

Interjected are comments from the monitors depending on the rolls you get, coupled with some jump scares (even if you expect them to be there). It’s pretty sudden and quick.
