I'm very stingy with my stars.
5 Stars = Will earn my vote in the next quadrennial Top 50 list (so far I've only given this rating out to 11 games, but I have so much more to play)
4 Stars = Exemplary work, very enjoyable, worthy of multiple playthroughs, very memorable, I'm still thinking about it days after I finish it, highly recommended to all, just not quite perfect for one reason or another
3 Stars = Enjoyable and/or innovative, quality is commensurate to its length, worth one or two playthroughs, I quite enjoyed it, but it doesn't stick in my head like 4-star games (a large swath of games I play end up here)
2 Stars = Did not enjoy it, would not recommend it, but the execution/coding was clean
