A man is found dead at Pier 9 in Old Harbor, his skull cracked, fog and money closing over the rest. You have one night to work it: interview the suspects, examine the evidence, piece together the timeline, and file a verdict on who killed him and why.
It is a fixed, hand-authored case. There is a real culprit, a real motive, a timeline, and roughly fourteen pieces of evidence, and it is solvable more than one way. The suspects are voiced by a language model, but the mystery itself is authored: characters speak in their own voice and will lie or deflect to protect themselves, yet they cannot confess out of nowhere or leak the solution. Your final accusation is graded against the authored truth, not by a model.
