Galactic Tycoons

Galactic Tycoons is a browser-based multiplayer strategy game about building an interstellar industrial empire. Players start with one base on a planet and gradually expand across the galaxy, mining resources, setting up factories, and trading with other players in a completely player-driven economy.

Gameplay focuses on creating production chains that turn raw materials into finished goods. Players mine ores on different planets, process them into metals, then manufacture everything from simple tools to complex starship components. Moving goods between bases requires building transport fleets, and choosing good locations for facilities is crucial since each planet has different resources and challenges.

The key feature is that everything economic is controlled by players - no computer-controlled traders or fixed prices. Since no one can master every industry, players must specialize in mining, manufacturing, or technology. All trading happens through the Galactic Exchange where supply, demand, and prices are determined entirely by what players do.
