About the Story

Terminal is a technological horror game set on a fictional version of college town Urbana, Illinois. You play as a young woman on a cold December night whose computer is hijacked by an unknown entity with access to her deepest secrets.

Terminal is influenced by fiction writers like Ellison, Joyce, and Marquez. The project explores themes of isolation, surveillance, anxiety, and "Prairie Futurism": a technologically overwhelming universe in the midst of the naturalism of the prairie. It takes place entirely within a command-line interface.
