About the Story

The Secret Of Arendarvon Castle was published in the form of type-in listings in a book that was lavishly illustrated and contained a lot of supplementary material. There were different editions of the book for the Apple II, BBC Micro, Commodore 64, IBM PC, and ZX Spectrum computers.

The program listings and the text in the book were written by Arend Rensink. Illustration and graphic design were by Bert van der Veen. ("Hal Renko" and "Sam Edwards" were fake identities that were used for a number of different software-related books, all presumably from the same publisher.)

Re-released in Dutch as "Het Mysterie van Arendarvon Castle".

See the second Download link on the right for more information about the game and the book.
