L'héritage de Tatie Lucette, by ErwannS

Spooky document mystery game, December 18, 2025*

Excellent puzzle game for fans of Obra Dinn, Case of the Golden Idol, The Roottrees are Dead, etc. I'm a huge fan of this genre, I love reading documents and looking things up to unearth all the various deaths. You also get to explore the abandoned movie studio to collect clues and experience a few eerie scenes there (very fun!)

There are 24 deaths and I got probably 18 before I started looking at hints. I don't think any of them were unfair, and they all could be solved without hints if you have a lot of patience with rereading the search results and searching every single name and movie title that comes up. (I don't have that kind of patience though, and I would've liked to have more hints! Finding the last few names gets a bit tedious and the hints are still too many steps away from the solution to really help.)

Overall I really liked it, great slightly spooky document mystery game. Also the letterboxd reviews are so fun :)

Tips if you play the game:

  1. You can use SCORE to see if you've found all the documents/rooms
  2. With the tempus you can TOUCH things. (Luckily the hints unstuck me on this eventually, but the whole time I was trying to "examine" everything under the influence of the tempus, when the verb I needed was "touch"!)
