Weekend

You are the son of a self-made businessman. Your father has built up his own business from scratch. However recently he has seemed worried. Now he is talking about selling the business to the famous industrialist, Sir Richard Penbright. At short notice he agreed to meet with Sir Richard for important discussions. You were already due to spend the weekend with your father, so both you and he have been invited to spend the weekend with the Penbright's in their rather grand country house. You arrived on Friday night and had dinner with Sir Richard, his wife Catherine, daughter Julie and Sir Richard's Personal Assistant, Amanda Hall. Your father spent most of the evening in discussions with Sir Richard and Ms Hall in Sir Richard's study, leaving you to make conversation with Lady Catherine and the Honorable Julie. You were somewhat nervous, but Catherine proved to be a delightful hostess, and you found yourself discussing your love for piano music with Catherine, and discovering that you and Julie are both keen tennis players; indeed the house has its own tennis court, and you vaguely remembering promising to play against Julie at some point during the weekend.

You eventually went to bed, leaving the two industrialists discussing business in Sir Richard's study. You swiftly fell asleep in the comfortable bed, but now you awake early, wondering what disturbed you.
