I spent around an hour or so casually playing through the game while chatting online with a friend, which gave some time to let the facts sink in. I purchased the manual for the game, which I found quite helpful in terms of the backstory and setting the tone for the game. Each scene in the game is illustrated delightfully, complementing the story.
The game has mouse support for readily interacting with illustrated items, but items are otherwise spelled out clearly enough in text if just typing is your preference. Just beware using look with nouns that definitely do not exist, or making a typo for one that does.
