This was a very enjoyable interactive fiction game and I think its main strength lies in its descriptions and storytelling. Marid felt like a fully fleshed out protagonist and I fully related to her and her struggle. I love all the optional bits and pieces available to explore that add a fresh layer to the narrative. The dialogue options don't really affect how the game plays out, there's only really one direction for the investigations to go and the main ending branches are determined by the final showdown. I love the investigation segments and there's enough challenge for it to be fun but not too much that it would deter inexperienced players. Lovely story but I kinda smelled the big twist from a mile away (maybe because I'm also a writer in my spare time but oh well)
Would definitely play again! (im not an if veteran but i have played quite a few, this is one of my favourites for sure.)
