About the Story

What a great idea to combine Rag Week with the opening celebrations... Removing your blindfold, you find yourself in the Computer Programming Fellow's study, in the new University accommodation. The buildings have only just been occupied, and the room is equipped with only the barest essentials. You have been locked in the study to raise money for charity (mate!) on the basis that no-one else in your year is reading English and Escapology - the organisers having used the objects already present in the room to leave clues as to how you will get out - without alerting college security!

[...] the award for best CD-related puzzle goes to Jonathan Nowell, for Black'n'White Rag, of which more later [...] From a game-design point of view, the most unusual entry was Black'n'White Rag, a Chinese puzzle-box of a game set in just a single, highly detailed location.
