About the Story

In the original tale, the Battle of Camlann was the legendary final battle of King Arthur, in which he was fatally wounded fighting his son, Mordred, the Knight of Treachery who was said to also die in the battle. Fatally wounded, King Arthur tasks the Knight Bedivere, the first member of the Knights of the Round table, to return the holy sword, Excalibur to the lady of the lake, and he does so, and King Arthur then passes away.

However, in the Camelot Paradox. Loyal to the end, Bedivere never returns Excalibur to the lady of the lake after the Battle of Camlann, as he wants his king to live. Excalibur then begins to heal King Arthur, but King Arthur’s holy lance, “Rhongomyniad” begins to possess King Arthur, corrupting him and enticing Arthur to take over the rest of the world as a “Holy Crusade”. As Bedivere, you, and the rest of the Knights of the Round Table then must choose to aid the King in his “Holy Crusade” or side against him and try to stop him.

This story is about a Knight, loyal to King Arthur, wanting to do right for his mistake. Bedivere seeks an end to his journey, wanting to be rendered a judgment for his sin. Ultimately, Bedivere will have to choose between loyalty, friendship, and what is right and wrong. As Bedivere, the player will have to use their morals and choices to try and save the world. With different endings, Bedivere’s journey can end at any moment with the wrong choices.
