...I say this game holds up wonderfully. A delightful combination of relatively spare prose, Lovecraftian horror and occasional comedy make this a model of interactive fiction. The puzzles are rewarding and not too difficult. The setting feels fully realized. There is a sense of freedom of exploration even as the story advances.
It's not as engrossing as Anchorhead - perhaps because they had to fit these things on 5.25" floppies - but it's close, and it's a classic.
