Still stuck on this one. I think., November 10, 2007I've had a few goes at this game now, and although I've managed to reach a couple of unsatisfactory endings, I've not yet been able to complete the storyline I'm aiming at. It's not as though I'm obviously in a failure situation, either; I'm just stuck at a point where nothing I do seems to progress the story. So I can't really write a proper review. Also, I occasionally found myself guessing at the correct syntax, something that shouldn't really be necessary in a well-tested game. Was this review helpful to you? - Stephen Bond (Leuven, Belgium), October 26, 2007 - Michael R. Bacon (New Mexico), October 21, 2007 - Emily Short, October 19, 2007 Baf's GuideThe year is 1886. The protagonist, an aging clergyman, unexpectedly falls in love at first sight with a younger woman while abroad. A brief human drama ensues, sprinkled with Lewis Carroll quotations. Superb prose that evokes the literary style of the period, written in the first person past tense - a controversial choice, but I thought it worked. The ideal ending is poignant and refreshing, and even the less-than-ideal endings provide a sense of closure. Features puzzles based on human behavior, timed events that flow on without you, and a hint menu. -- Carl Muckenhoupt
