Word Manipulation Game, March 11, 2026

I think this type of mechanic is very difficult to pull off well. This game does a pretty good job of it, but the difficulty getting started at the beginning of the game and the tediousness towards the end of it made me give this three stars instead of four.

Thing it did well:
-Weldon provided just the right amount of hints without making it feel like you missed out on solving the puzzles for yourself.
-It had a decent vocabulary, which is important for word games like this. Examples: I was pleased to succeed in making a (Spoiler - click to show)Dragoon, and slightly supprised in required me to make a (Spoiler - click to show)Don, though I did appreciate the hints towards making a (Spoiler - click to show) Rood, which was also good because I immediently recognized it as a target for making a door .
-The size of the game was good. It didn't feel like a one-and-done puzzle, but it also didn't drag out it's mechanics for so long they became boring.
-I enjoyed intuiting the use of all of the machines based on their descriptions.

Sticking Points:
-There was a lot of objects arbitrarily not fitting in places, which was frustrating.
-It was difficult to get started, even once you had an idea of how things were supposed to work.
-Some tasks in later game stages became tedious, having to type out the same actions over and over again for many objects.
