MVTA is short for "minimum viable text adventure".
Ostensibly this is the story of "you" the player and your first day in a new job.
The location is loosely based on a real company, real office and historically real people but the plot is far from real.
Where the game differs from most interactive fiction is with a dynamic affinity system. Game characters may or may not appreciate your actions and will respond appropriately.
Whilst this is largely a normal "slice of life" type game, there's plenty of opportunities for mayhem and amusement.
This is the first IF game from Simon with a custom game engine written from scratch.
The game recognises most normal IF style actions e.g. <verb><object> plus occasional <verb><object><with/in/on/under etc><object> but also offers some more dynamic (if limited) dialogue activities when interacting with NPCs (clues on interaction are offered within the game).
The game is still under occasional development and whilst a lot of work has gone in so far, some areas are incomplete and the odd bug might manifest. (please let me know if there's any problems)
