Adventur Delux

Adventur Delux is an interactive text-based game written in Norwegian. In the game, the player goes on adventures to get a lots of equipment. More parts of the game get unlocked as the player finishes adventures, and gains equipment; in general, skills tied to the player character do not exist.

The plot supposedly takes place in the middle ages, but anachronisms are plentiful. Much of the game takes place in (or around) five main cities: Dypvann, Svarthaug, Veslegend, Ørkenbyen and Høyborg. There is lots of violence, and almost endless variations of Norwegian swear words.

The game has been under nearly continuous development since 1997, starting as the Amiga game "Magnar og Glenns fantastiske interaktive eventyr" before being ported to the web. It is currently maintained by Magnar Sveen, and is paid for by an association of volunteers (it is non-profit).
