A little buggy, but a nice idea, June 19, 2008

Cute game, nice premise... there is a wide open gate (hence the title) but how do you escape?

There is no place to contact the author, so I will report 2 bugs within a spoiler tag...
1) (Spoiler - click to show) Upon going into the closet and unable to reach the shelf, I did "get all" and managed to snag everything on the shelf, even though I could not see or reach it. I almost wish this didn't happen because I was enjoying the sparseness of items, but at the same time it was a relief because I couldn't figure out how to do it the right way. 2) (Spoiler - click to show)I went to the gatehouse with the magazine, but it disappeared from my inventory -- I figured I needed to use it on the guards so they would leave...

I was able to solve this after a few tries.
