About the Story

A Dutch professor waits on death row in Texas. Behind his forehead sits an operator who analyses every choice until the moment to act has passed — and at night, a door appears in the wall of his cell that should not be there.

An interactive adaptation of the novel The Brain Cell, made by its author. You read, you click, you read on. But the choices expire while you weigh them. That is not a design flaw; it is what the book is about.

About three hours. Free, in your browser. Headphones recommended — the audio is generated live and carries half of it. You cannot lose or get stuck. But choices expire while you weigh them, and what you let pass is recorded.
