For a first game, this is pretty decent. Most puzzles are solveable and I didn't have to much guess the verb, which is rare these days. But there are lots of beginner mistakes. When in the courtyard, going down leads back into the Library which is not supposed to happen. Longer descriptions for rooms would help a lot, as two or three lines doesn't help much. But, there was some good puzzles on here like the fire poker or the torch which is rare in a first game. I'm not recommending the game, but I came very close to it. With a little more work on it, it'd be a good game
