About the Story

This is the first of a planned series of games that tell the story of an orphaned boy who is trying to escape from his parents' murderer(s). The story is (in the author's own opinion) very cliched and relatively weak. It's used mainly as a framework for the puzzles in the game.

This game was first written as a graphical adventure for the Apple ][ computer. When I got into college I wrote a simple language for developing text adventures and used that to rewrite this game in the form that's posted here along with two sequels. They're very "old school" but they were fun to write.

By the way, if anyone has a copy of that original graphical version which is capable of running on any of the multitude of Apple ][ interpreters in existence, I'd love to hear about it. Actually, I'd love to hear from anyone who has just played that original Apple ][ version. You can contact me by clicking on the author's profile link above.
