Beautiful short work exploring human relationships tested to the limits, September 30, 2016
by streever (America)

This is a short Twine piece which uses the experimental format of a checklist of tasks which must be performed before you miss your chance to go off-world and avoid the apocalypse.

It's moving and surprising, and lends itself to multiple replays. The writing is engaging and human, and the voice authentic. The UI and design function well and make it easy to read on a computer screen.

Highly recommended.

I'm sorry that got in your way! It isn't something I was very familiar with, but I quickly adapted. In the context of the piece, "they" was very clearly used as singular.

Interestingly, I'm sure you've used "they" as singular too: "Everyone wants their child to be happy," or "My guest asked for extra towels; I sent two up to them."

They/Them/Their is a common way to refer to singular people without specifying gender, and I'm not sure why it was so distracting for you, but I'd encourage you to work on accepting it. The Washington Post added it to their style guide and the American Dialect Society made it word of the year. It's only going to become more prevalent.
