About the Story

“Get ready to roll initiative… in romance?!”

Raven Espiritu has been in love with his childhood best friend and Dungeon Master, Piers Batumbakal. But when his friends suggest pushing him to confess, the lines between reality and fantasy blur when Raven's feelings start bleeding into the session–not unlike the way the Paladin started bleeding because she was charmed by a sea witch.

As the lines between fantasy and reality blur, can Raven roll a nat 20 and gain the courage to tell Piers how he really feels? Or is this a critical failure in love?

Content Warnings: light descriptions of death, attempted murder, stabbing, fire, gore in the typical DND/TTRPG shenanigans way. Proceed with caution when entering the Dragon's Lair (scene 3)

Diskord and Dragons, June 24, 2025

It was an entertaining read, as two characters battle their way through a DnD world while the game provides some entertaining conversation via a Discord group chat between a group of friends. (Amusing note, it's called Diskord in game, but the game spells it as Discord at one part.)

There are a few choices, but I don't think the game branches significantly (I only played through twice, however.) Over time, the two characters get close to each other through a certain event in the game, before real life takes over.

The writing is fun and entertaining. The art and sound gives off the cute vibes, but I'm a little more mixed about it.
