About the Story

Velcro church is about the last moments of a man’s life and the memories and fantasies that intersect with his dying state. Because memory functions in a non-linear fashion, I decided to explore the potential of the shuffled narrative. Velcro church was originally printed on 60 separate cards and contained within a hollowed out book. The reader was asked to shuffle the cards before reading. This is a digital version of that narrative, which preserves the random order.
