Hauntings at St. Comba's Academy is an interactive fiction based on a scenario I am writing for 2D4 & Explore.
This is created for Neo-Twiny Jam 2025, a game jam for interactive fictions under 500 words.
Initially, I tried to code in the rules of 2D4 & Explore, where the story plays out differently depends on the player character's proficiencies and items, as well as implementing dice mechanics to determine the outcome for certain interactions. However, there is no way I can fit all that in 500 words.
I deleted a lot of the code and make use of the words I have to create a tight but hopefully interesting experience for the player.

Welcome to St. Comba's Academy. Your task here is to find some evidence of ghosts, and use it to propel you to online fame.
This is a pretty simple choice IF, with a few locations to go, each with a key encounter or item. It is not complicated, and you should be able to complete this quickly and easily. Some of the text changes depending on the sequence in which you find certain things, which is another plus.
The black and white layout works well for the game. There are a few sounds here and there, which added to the vibe and which I would consider a minor plus. Other than that, this was a short but fairly entertaining play.
