The Scoop
by Jonathan Merritt, Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, E.C. Bentley, Anthony Berkeley, Freeman Wills Crofts, and Clemence Dane
I played The Scoop for over 100 hours with a few restarts. I ended up taking over 80 pages of notes keeping track of who had said what and appeared where, owing to the number of events that transpire, and things that occur at specific times. The game drip feeds detail that spans across the days before you run out of time. The minimal yet pleasantly stylised pixel art rendering of locations and people is complimentary, but not the main draw. If you are partial to Agatha Christie stories (or tv adaptations) like Poirot, you should be right at home with this game.
