When this game was released in 1984, it was quite a hit.
Traditionally, Oric adventures were mostly written 100% in BASIC—sometimes with vector graphics—and usually featured very basic parsers.
This game, on the other hand, was written mostly in assembly language and feels snappy: the graphics are good and load quickly, and everything feels very polished.
The adventure layout is unusual: the map is basically a grid where you navigate as usual, but each tile can be viewed from four directions. This lets you examine things like a tower from the front, side, or back, revealing details you might miss at first glance.
One of the game's high points is the parser: it auto-completes keywords as soon as you've typed enough characters, so you can hardly enter anything the game won't understand.
The game has two parts: the first on the surface of the island, and the second underground.
If you understand French, definitely give it a try!
