About the Story

Doomed to die and on what may be a one-way trek, you set out on The Great Pilgrimage to try to prevent your untimely demise. Are you The Noble, who is the child of one of the most celebrated Tyians in the region? Are you The Mercenary, who built your reputation from the ground up with the Dark Waters Mercenary Company? Or are you The Thief, desperate to escape the streets, enough to try to join the Seven Snakes Guild?

Three paths, three choices, one cursed fate: which will you choose? Will you make allies of those traveling alongside you, or will you find yourself with more enemies than ever before? Your choice, your survival... or your doom.

Romances:

Ser Avery of Derinstad: (Only available on The Noble and The Thief Paths) Ser Avery is the Commanding Knight of Derinstad, and while he has a reputation for being the best Commanding Knight Derinstad has ever had... there is also rumors of his... debauchery. He's devilishly handsome: ice blue eyes, darkly tanned skin from days in the sun, curly black hair with a widow's peak, and a strong, square jaw, the man is as handsome as he is a brute.

Antigone Beetle: A long time friend of all three Routes, Antigone is a sweetheart with a sarcastic streak. She has albinism, resulting in severely pale skin, hair, and pinkish eyes, and an intolerance to heat. She's a bit on the short side and only twenty-three, but she's ride-or-die for our MC... and so is the crush she has growing for them.

Valera Dogwood: A piratess who has strong beliefs in the Aomerian Gods, Velera takes the yearly Great Pilgrimage very seriously; she's not missed a year of it since she turned twenty over ten years ago. She's quite the beauty, too; roughly five-nine with dark tan olive skin, onyx black almond-shaped eyes, a curtain of walnut-colored curls, and plump plum lips, she's quite easy on the eyes... if only she'd open her heart to love.

Zolassi of the Sea of Ever Cold: Zolassi is regarded as an abomination by both of his people: being a half-human, half-mer, life has not been easy for him. His grandfather, as hatred to his human side, had him trained as an assassin from an early age, hoping he'd die in the trials... but here he lives. His hair looks like kelp, with a mix of forest greens and fallen leaf yellows; his skin is a light shade of teal; his eyes are a vibrant mix of blue and purple, with flecks of white around the pupils (no whites, has a second lid); and loose webbing between his fingers and toes.

Justiciar Li'Veris: Li'Veris is an honored Justiciar among her people, the Adarlwyns; the children of a bird god and a human, they hold attributes of both. She has been given the task of protecting the Pilgrims of The Great Pilgrimage for this year, a task she takes most seriously. Her head, along her spine, and towards the edges of her cheekbones is covered in a mix of light and medium gray feathers. Her eyes are pale blue with white lashes and eyebrows. There are more feathers on her legs, as well as dark blue-grey scales. Her wings are a mix of a blue-grey and grey feathers, with white undersides. Her skin is fair and almost immaculate, aside from a scar on the left side of her face, going from hairline to jaw.

Jericho Crow: Jericho is a mercenary hired by one of the other Pilgrims to guard them on the way to the Seats of Aome. He's rather quiet, but has a good sense of humor. He has light brown skin, dark brown coils of hair, and hazel-green eyes. He has a strong build, with several scars crisscrossing his skin.
